Three bed rooms and one window
When we were ushered in
For the first time
The windows were shut
Only fan provided relief
With its noise
Resonating with our clumsiness
When we reached by train
The window of the bedroom
Opened into corridor
No reason to keep it open
Folding cot did not resist
Our temptations
Now I draw curtains regularly
Every time before I sleep
In the journey of sleepless nights
Mornings humiliate me with
Penetrating Sun rays of the desert
