When she held me to her breast
I thought she belongs to me
And only to me

When she shifted her attention
I cried as if I lost everything
She consoled me with her lullabies
All is not lost she is still with me

During my crawling days
I knew no boundaries
Walking opened up the world around
I did not understand boundaries yet
Hurdles everywhere
Doors, walls, chairs, tables

Touching her hands
Feeling her breath
Twining with her in thoughts
Boundless boundaries
Playing with the child in me
