Passage of time

I stopped writing
So that I can sleep better
Reading is much of a pain
I started hearing things
Listening is much more careful act
Turnings in this story
Are akin to the walls we face everyday
Conflicts on trivial issues

Gathering dust in the open shelves
Books cry for attention
Turning my eyes away
Ignoring the presence of words
Today is no different
I walk past the door

Years pass through ears
Sprouting hair lost its luster
Duster, duster where are you
It is time for brushing
Nights do not matter
Subtraction is the game of life
Cup is not full, bottle is not empty
Equations are simple.

No fear of teacher
It is no time for preacher
